Alcohol Testing

Alcohol Testing

A blood alcohol measures the amount of alcohol in your body. The resulting Breath/Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) is calculated immediately.

Ethyl alcohol, or ethanol is absorbed directly through the walls of the stomach and into the bloodstream, breath alcohol testing is a good indicator of current alcohol impairment and is valuable in occupational testing.

HOW DOES BREATH ALCOHOL TESTING WORK?

Breath alcohol tests (commonly called breathalyzers) are tests administered by a professional technician in which results are provided right on the spot.

This reading calculates Breath/Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC). Within minutes of drinking alcohol, your blood alcohol concentration starts to rise.

CERTIFIED TESTING

Hines Health breath alcohol technicians are certified based on US DOT standards (United States Department of Transportation). Hines Health Centre is equipped with US DOT approved evidentiary breath alcohol machines, which guarantees the accuracy and reliability of results and meets the same standards as police forces throughout North America.
